PERPETUATING THE MYTH OF OSAMA BIN LADEN, AL QAEDA AND THE ‘GLOBAL WAR ON TERRORISM’

It’s almost as if the Western allies maintain a think-tank somewhere whose sole job is to dream up garbage about Osama bin Laden and al Qaeda that can be fed to the dumb and gullible in regular doses in order to perpetuate the myth of their existence and therefore justify the continued ‘Global War on Terrorism’, a war which in itself has assumed mythical proportions.

In the latest ‘revelation’, designed to remind the dumb and gullible that the Western allies are still after him and, indeed, came close to catching him, we are expected to believe that: “US forces in Afghanistan came so close to discovering Osama bin Laden in the northern winter of 2004-05 that his bodyguards were on the verge of killing him to prevent his capture”. The evidence supporting this is… well, there isn’t any really; we’re just expected to believe it because we’re told it via the ever-reliable mainstream media – the same mainstream media that in 2001 were telling us that Osama bin Laden had died of various diseases and that Saddam Hussein had WMDs and was involved in 9/11.

News that the West at one stage were getting close to capturing bin Laden might also bolster the flagging support that Bush is receiving for the continuing ‘Global War on Terrorism’; support that is very badly needed since some 84% of Americans now believe they are not winning the ‘Global War on Terrorism’ and they believe that the US is less safe today than it has ever been.

It’s fast becoming apparent that the ‘Global War on Terrorism’ has turned to farce and looking more and more like a ‘Global War of Terrorism Against the World of Islam’. Six years after 9/11 and no one is interested anymore. Nothing, absolutely nothing, has been achieved. Billions of dollars have been spent, hundreds of thousands or maybe over a million lives have been lost, another four million are now homeless and there is still no end to it in sight.

And still they want to perpetuate the myth of Osama bin Laden, al Qaeda and the ‘Global War on Terrorism’. It’s time the world woke up to this nightmarish hoax and kicked out those that have foisted this disaster upon the world.

ISRAEL ORDERS MILLIONS OF DOLLARS WORTH OF MILITARY JET FUEL.

Israel has recently ordered $308 million worth of JP-8 military jet fuel. The last time Israel ordered anywhere near this amount of fuel was during the Lebanon war last year when it took delivery of some $210 million worth of fuel.

Besides the jet fuel, Israel has also ordered 30 Harpoon anti-ship missiles, 500 AIM-9M Sidewinder air to air missiles, and 200 AMRAAM medium range air to air missiles.

JP-8 jet fuel has a best used by shelf life of around two months though in ideal storage conditions and with additives it will last up to six months. It can be used well beyond that, say a year, but most jet jockeys, especially fighter pilot commanders, would insist on having fresh fuel that’s 100% reliable in sky battle conditions.

So, what’s all this fuel and ordnance for then?

That news about Israel and the fuel, armaments, etc, sends shiver through my spine, Damian. Who knows what they and the Americans have got planned.

Given that they are both amoral, it won't be good! Cheers!

I'm not sure exactly what they have planned Daniel, but I've got a reasonable idea.

Israel and the US want regime change in Iran and Syria; that way the road is then clear for the Israelis to deal with Hizbollah and Hamas without having to worry about Hizbollah or Hamas getting arms support from Iran and Syria. Once Hizbollah have no logistical support the way will then be clear for Israel to invade southern Lebanon up to the Litani River and eventually slowly but surely colonise the area. They tried it before but failed because Hizbollah with the support of the Syrians fought back and it proved far too costly for the Israelis. But with Syria out of the way the Israelis feel they would have a far better chance of permanently occupying southern Lebanon. It will also consolidate their position on the Golan Heights and the Shebaa Farms.

The US and Israel are looking for a final showdown with Iran and Syria; Israel sees these two countries as the final stumbling blocks to the long-term Zionist dream of a Greater Israel. The reality is somewhat different.

The governments of Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Jordan are friendly toward Israel. However, while the governments of these countries are friendly, the peoples of these countries have very little time for Israel and an Israel with that much hegemony in the region may well not be tolerated especially if the Israelis attempt to create their Greater Israel at the expense of the Palestinian and south Lebanese people.

You state, "Israel has recently ordered $308 million worth of JP-8 military jet fuel."

This is not the case. Israel has ordered a combination of jet AND diesel fuel which TOGETHER amount to $308 million.

No it hasn't. Israel has ordered 308 million dollars worth of JP-8 jet fuel. It has also ordered diesel fuel for its ground forces. This is what the report says:

"The agency also notified Congress of a possible sale to Israel of 308 million dollars worth of JP-8 aviation fuel for its aircraft and diesel fuel for its ground forces."

Two things here; the report says, first and quite unequivocally, '308 millions dollars worth of JP-8 aviation fuel'. It then mentions, albeit in the same sentence, that Israel also wants to buy 'diesel fuel for its ground forces'.

It doesn't say or imply anything about the contract being combined to be a total value of $308m.

You're wasting my time again. Don't bother posting here any more. You are a pedantic waste of cyberspace with nothing to contribute.

You need to go to the source of the India Times article to get the facts. The India Times article was based upon a DSCA news release available here: http://www.dsca.mil/PressReleases/36-b/2007/Israel_07-46.pdf

It states unambigously that:

"The Defense Security Cooperation Agency notified Congress of a possible Foreign Military Sale to Israel of JP-8 Aviation Jet and Diesel fuel. The total value, if all options are exercised, could be as high as $308 million.

The Government of Israel has requested a possible sale of 90,000,000 gallons of JP-8 aviation jet fuel and 42,000,000 gallons of diesel fuel. The estimated cost is $308 million."

It only takes a minute or two to fact check a MSM article.

So, my mistake.

I wonder though why you didn't mention this link earlier when you clearly were aware of it. Was this deliberately left out to set me up I wonder?

No matter. The 90 million gallons of JP-8 at todays price is about $238 million - still more than the last big sale of JP-8 to Israels $210 millions worth when it attacked Lebanon.

Which brings us back to my original question - why do they need all this fuel?
