SO WHAT’S BEHIND THE DECISION TO GIVE OBAMA THE NOBEL PRIZE FOR PEACE?

It’s fairly clear that the announcement that President Obama is to be the recipient of this year’s Nobel Prize for Peace has come as a surprise to everyone – including Obama. Questions regarding whether he deserves it or not will be discussed throughout both the blogosphere and the mainstream media for sometime, but what in my view is far more interesting is; what was the committee thinking when formulating their decision. Why did they choose Obama? Was there some noble ulterior motive behind the decision whereby, in awarding it to him, they imagined that a war against Iran, a war that could lead to a global catastrophe, be thwarted?

Did they think that, if he was awarded the prize, it would be difficult – if not impossible – for him to launch a pre-emptive attack against Iran? Did they think that it would be difficult – if not impossible – for Obama to send more troops to Afghanistan to ‘surge’ the war there and extend it even further into Pakistan?

Will this act of giving him the Nobel Prize for Peace give something for the world to stop and think about? Is not the world now thinking not just about ‘peace’ but ‘Peace’ and the man who has the power to wage war but is now obliged to bring ‘Peace’? Before the announcement, it would have been easy for Obama to have launched a pre-emptive attack against Iran. The world would not have liked it, but would have accepted it, once it had happened, as fait accompli. But now…

I wonder if this is not a very clever move by the committee that makes decisions about who gets the Nobel Prize for Peace.

Whether he deserves it or not remains debatable; but there is no denying the fact that the most powerful man on the planet with the power of life or death over millions at his fingertips has been given the most prestigious peace award on the planet to ensure that war can be averted and millions of lives saved.

Once again, the ball is in Netanyahu’s court.

G'day Damian.

IF I was paranoid, THEN I might think that you do this sort of thing just to rev me up.

Netanyahu is the jumped-up so-called 'leader' of a criminal regime; both Netanyahu and that criminal regime have a proven 63+ bloody years' history of continuous terrorism - King David Hotel ('46), Dier Yassin down through Lebanon '06 and Gaza '08/9. Irgun = Likud & the rest = murdering Z-criminality. The overwhelming majority of both the illegal Z-occupiers of Palestine and the so-called Diaspora call themselves J*ws - not in and of itself directly relevant, but a) one can't take the Js out of Z-ism, and b) it's their self-proclaimed 'identity' and 'victim status' allied with their (totally false) self-claimed 'exceptionalism' that had Netanyahu flashing Auschwitz plans at the UN, 63 years after they brutally began their direct-action campaign to incrementally dispossess the hapless Palestinians; murder for land-theft. Dinner-Jacket is falsely accused of many things, but one he is certainly correct on, is that the Holocaust can neither justify nor excuse the unjust formation of the so-called 'modern' state of Z-rael.

The point of the above rave is to send this message to every J on the planet: silence is taken as approval; the only possible honest stance is to resist such criminality with all possible effort; as long as this murdering, thieving Z-criminality continues, condemnation of *all* Js can only ever increase.

Cooling down, I agree with most of your post on Ramb-O-Bama's Nobel, and think it's:

a) a brilliant coup designed to force Ramb-O to behave (in which case, more power to them), or

b) a massive travesty of justice; a crude fart in every earnest peace-seeker's face.

BUT:

.. what the B.H. it has to do with Netanyahu is beyond me...

.. unless you're saying that the Zs fully control the US?

(and I'd *still* like to be considered your friend.)

What a joke!!!! Next Nobel may go to Netanjahu or Lieberman....and then "they" will award "in memoriam" Adolf Hitler, Stalin.....Future generations will marvel about OUR TIMES.....will not understand at all...

Good point. That has to be the reason. There is no other conceivable explanation. Smart move, I think.

Nobel Peace Prize for doing? Well, I guess Obama made a call to the Cracker Court of Nobel behind our backs. Either you pay me one million dollars by today or I will send Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson over their to preach the word of God aka(cought up the bread cracker) to you and all that jive. Might even start a communist revolution their, you seen how easy it was for me to do it in America. The check was their before Obama hung up the phone.

Let me be the first to say that if Obama lives up to the prize, and does even more, I'll say he's earned it! Now let's all sit back, and see if the guy can do it!

The idea that the Nobel committee may have been trying to influence Obama, has occured to me too...and probably to Obama and Netanyahoo!

Still, it may not work...

It is now clear that the "Noble Peace Prize" is used as a political tools to manipulate the future world trends. It is not based on merit or credible judgment. Last year Dr. Yunus of Bangladesh was given the same prize. People seem to miss the point that he got a "Peace" prize for whatever reason, not for economics or for his Micro-credit banking system. But in reality he is promoting and marketing his failed micro-credit concept around the world as if he got the prize for that reason. The world is full of bluffs.

They could have said to him that at the end of 4 or 8yrs that if Iran has not been attacked either by you or by Israel, or jointly, then you can have the Peace Prize. Guaranteed.

A prize thus enobled at the end of his term or two by genuine striving for an outcome truly worthy of the prize at the end of his presidential journey.

His standing in his own eyes and that of the world's would be immeasurably enhanced by that real achievement, and not as it is now, actually tarnished by the reflected glow of a cheap trinket which the Peace Prize has suddenly become - though its lustre had already been diminished some in recent decades through creeping politicisation.

How you see it Damian is akin to quainter times; the virgin giving her all to a lothario on the promise of marriage.

I believe what has really happened is that the Nobel Committee did not think through how it would make Obama really feel about himself or what the world would think about him for accepting it (it can't have been a surprise to him) when he had done everything up to the present which would have been the same as Bush would have done had he continued for a 3rd term, such was their determination to drive a agenda.

What agenda ?

Awarding of the Peace Prize to Obama at this time proves that were Alfred Nobel to be amongst us again he would instantly dismiss the Zionists who have hijacked the Foundation he set up, for he would recognise the Zionist perversity in granting the award not for peace but for prospective war.

By this i mean that the awarding of the prize to Obama signals that war on Iran is imminent, and is the Zionists way of reminding him to do his part for which he gets an award in advance - and not afterwards, as that would be even more grotesque than him being awarded now.

WW3 is what Israel wants, and means to get it by way of Iran, and when that is achieved the Nobel for Peace will be seen as a macabre joke and will be abolished, so why not give the last one to Obama as a joke ?

Obama and the Nobel Prize: When War becomes Peace, When the Lie becomes the Truth
by Michel Chossudovsky
Global Research, October 11, 2009
«We are the crossroads of the most serious crisis in modern history. The US in partnership with NATO and Israel has launched a global military adventure which, in a very real sense, threatens the future of humanity.
At this critical juncture in our history, the Norwegian Nobel Committee's decision to award the Nobel Peace Prize to President and Commander in Chief Barack Obama constitutes an unmitigated tool of propaganda and distortion, which unreservedly supports the Pentagon's "Long War": "A War without Borders" in the true sense of the word, characterised by the Worlwide
[sic] deployment of US military might.
...
The Nobel committee had in a sense given Obama a green light. The October 9 meeting in the Situation Room was to set the groundwork for a further escalation of the conflict under the banner of counterinsurgency and democracy building.»

[globalresearch/Chossudovsky]

Paraphrasing my previous; either the Nobel is a clever trick we better hope works, or it's 1984; "Peace Prize" = "More War" and it really is the end - of any and all hope.

We'll soon enough know; will Ramb-O-Bama begin deploying the 'catholic prophylactic' (i.e. pulling out) - or will the US(+Zs) plunge us over the escalation cliff, all guns blazing, all bombs exploding?
