Palestinian Authority (PA) Prime Minister Salaam Fayad has suggested that a de facto Palestinian state be established within the next two years and that it could be achieved with or without Israeli participation.
This really is fanciful thinking and is just another power grabbing, time wasting proposal by a desperate Palestinian Authority that has no mandate from the Palestinian people and exists only at the whim of the Israelis via the sham that is the 1995 Israeli-Palestinian Interim Agreement.
One should be quite clear about the Zionist Israeli stance on the question of Palestinian statehood; as far as the Zionists are concerned, THERE WILL NEVER BE A PALESTINIAN STATE. Never mind all the talk of statehood coming from Netanyahu or from Obama or Abbas or, now, Fayad; THERE WILL NEVER BE A PALESTINIAN STATE while the Zionists have any control over the matter. The only way a de facto state can be created is if the PA declared a unilateral declaration of independence – a move that would be crushed literally within hours by the Israelis leaving the Palestinian people far worse off than even they are now.
The fact is; the Israelis would secretly welcome such an opportunity. It would provide them with the excuse they need to fulfil their long held dream of fully occupying both the West Bank and the Gaza Strip without pussyfooting around with the settlements issue to appease the US. The establishment of a de facto Palestinian state would be seen as direct threat to Israeli security and would provide all the justification the Israelis need to fully occupy and even annex the territories in a move that would be seen as fait accompli if the Palestinians made any unilateral move to establish a de facto state.
The only way that any Palestinian sovereign state can exist is when it has the full support of all of the Palestinian people backed by the full support of all of the peoples of the world. This will only happen after Israel has been isolated by the US and the West who should refuse to support Israel until it fully recognises the right of the Palestinian peoples to live on their own lands without any fear and with full and equal rights with the people they share that land with. Until then there will never be a Palestinian state – de facto or otherwise.

The very idea of a Palestinian state is outmoded, it has no future. The Zionist dreams of a goyimrein Palestine, one that will be exclusively Jewish, all the Palestinians having been exterminated or expelled. The alternative to this hideous genocidal vision is not a Palestinian state, but a single state, encompassing all Palestine, in which Jew and Gentile will be equal before the law, as they are elsewhere. That is what we are fighting for, not a Palestinian state in some fraction of the Palestinian people's ancestral homeland.
The one-state bi-national solution is the only solution. I've been banging on about it for years. I believe the idea is catching on - slowly.
In this case, the Jews would overnight become a minority in their own traditional land.
And we all know how Jewish minorities have been treated throughout history.
No wonder they want their tiny share of the world ...

... just like almost 200 other nation-states aleardy have.
But wait, let's deny it to the Jews.
'Their own traditional lands' is a myth. Very few Jews can lay claim to Palestine being their traditional home lands. And those that can shared it in comparative peace for hundreds of years with the Palestinians.
The simple answer is for the Palestinians and the Jews to live together as equals with equal rights.
While Jews consider themselves the 'Children of God', they cannot live together as equals with any other race least of all the hapless Palestinians.
Perhaps years of deep counseling might shift the religious insanity from their tiny minds?
You're wrong there, Anon: if you research the matter very carefully, I'm almost sure you'll find that genocide is deemed to be a crime against humanity regardless of the perpetrator. You want to see a special exemption for Jews only, do you? I'm afraid not: a crime against humanity committed by Jews is a crime against humanity none the less.
"Their own traditional lands is a myth. Very few Jews can lay claim to Palestine being their traditional home lands."
This is incorrect. The University College of London has conducted genealogical studies and found that the DNA of Jews today certainly links them to their status as Israelites:
"The main ethnic element of Ashkenazim (German and Eastern European Jews), Sephardim (Spanish and Portuguese Jews), Mizrakhim (Middle Eastern Jews), Juhurim (Mountain Jews of the Caucasus), Italqim (Italian Jews), and most other modern Jewish populations of the world is Israelite"

Having ancient links to Palestine is a bit different from it being their 'traditional lands'. Next thing you know, if things turned sour in the US or Australia or Canada or New Zealand, the populations of those countries will be wanting to return to the counties of their forefathers and lay claim to it.
People can't just turn up and lay claim to a bit of land just because their great-great-great grand-dad used to live there.
Palestinians share the same DNA, don't they? I've read somewhere that Palestinian DNA is indistinguishable from that of Israeli Jews. That is why, despite years of effort, the Zionists have been unable to develop a plague that kills only Palestinians: any plague that would kill the Arabushim would also kill them.
Here's a question:
When has there at anytime NOT been a Jewish presence on their traditional land?
Science (archaelogy) tells us that they've always existed there.
We could of course apply your argument to Australia. In other words, since far fewer Australians can lay claim to this place as their traditional land, it should be that Australia is dismantled long before the long-standing inhabitants of Israel have to suffer such an indignity.
Science tells us that there has been an uninterrupted Jewish presence on their traditional land for 3,300 years. By contrast, look at Australia's formation as a country based on a tiny 200 years.
Perhaps we could dismantle Australia quicksmart, in light of the vast majority of inhabitants having no link to the land whatsoever.
It does not give Jews the right to come from overseas to a land they've never been to or lived on before and turf off the locals just becasue their great-great great-great-geat-great grand-pappy once lived there.
There's enough room for everyone. The one-state solution where Palestinians and Jews live as equals is the only solution.
So let's dismantle Israel AND Australia.
And very many other countries, too.
We can't just apply this theory to the Jews now, can we?
You can't 'dismantle' countries; they're made of soil and rock. What one can do is reorganise the societies that live in them so that there is equality for all.
Science (archaelogy) tells us that they've always existed there
Is this person for real? Zionist archaeology is a tissue of lies. There is no archaeological evidence for an ancient Israel, ever.
Sure you can dismantle a country.
Change its name, change its flag, change its constitution, change its languages, change its institutions, change its culture.
Let's do it to other states, too. Not just making the Jews an overnight minority in their own land.

They must all be making the science up.
The modern state of Israel has only been around for 60 years and the vast majority of those in Israel now came, or are descended from, people who came from elsewhere and who ethnically cleansed the lands of Palestinians who had a legitimate right to be there.
It's only a flag; the constitution can change to accomodate all and so what if Jews become a minority? It's not only their land.
Nothing wrong with multiculturalism - unless you happen to be a racist.
Sorry, Anon, but public relations has never been the same thing as science. A shame, but there it is.
