In the months prior to the invasion of Iraq by the US, Britain, Australia and their allies, millions of people all over the world took to the streets to implore their respective governments not to support the war the people knew for sure was coming. But with total disregard to the voices of the peoples of the world the US and their allies pressed ahead with their invasion anyway.
Today, some four and a half years later, with nigh on a million Iraqis dead and another four million unable to live in their homes, the world is bracing itself for yet another unprovoked war against yet another nation that stands in the way of Israeli Zionist dreams of a Greater Israel; a Greater Israel that they hope will consist of the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, the Golan Heights and south Lebanon up to the Litani River, a dream which Iraq once stood in the way of.
The US and Israel are now desperate for ‘regime change’ in Iran and do not care about the cost in terms of human life just so long as the US end up with hegemony over the supply of the regions oil and gas resources and Israel is able to achieve its aspirations for a Greater Israel.
But as the inevitability of war against Iran now approaches, one has to ask; where are the masses in the streets as there were before the invasion of Iraq? Has the fact that Bush, Blair and Howard and their allies ignored the voice of the peoples of the world last time they wanted ‘regime change’ made protest against war seem futile? The need for the peoples of the world to protest war is even more imperative now than ever it has been before.
STOP BUSH, CHENEY, THE RIGHT-WING ISRAELI ZIONISTS AND THEIR NEOCONSERVATIVE COHORTS NOW BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!
ORGANISE MASS PROTEST IN YOUR CITY!!
DO IT NOW!!

A deadline for an attack on Iran has been set and past for so many times in the last year, quite a few people do no longer believe, that it is actually going to happen.
The whole leaking business could be an elaborate psy-ops game by the Neocons.
And as the Iranian government believes, attacking Iran directly would be so counterproductive to American interests in the region and to Israel´s security, that going through with it would be beyond insane, it would be illogical.
So my guess is, that the Neocons are trying to destabilize Iran from within by financing seperatist terror-groups, and color-revolutionaries and scaring the living daylight out of the population with their constant harping on the imminence of a nuclear attack.
I’m not sure that the world can afford to sit and wait to see if the threat against Iran is just a ‘psy-ops game’.
The Israelis and the US are after regime change; nothing less. They’re not interested stopping Iran from having nuclear weapons; all that is just scaremongering rhetoric and propaganda designed to demonise Iran. They know that Iran has got nowhere near producing nuclear weapons and is unlikely to for many years to come even if they wanted one.
No. Nuclear weapons are not what this is about. It is about regime change and that will only come with massive bombardment and the destruction of Iran’s capacity to wage war. Frightening the Iranian people into changing their regime is just nonsense; their government is far too entrenched to allow that to happen and the Iranian people, even if they did hate their government, hate Bush and Israel much more and will not be cowered in to submission.
The Americans think they can beat the Iranians without actually invading. They think that after a few days of massive bombardment the Iranians will be suing for peace and going cap in hand to the UN to meet US demands. It won’t happen. The Iranians are a proud and tenacious people who, as they demonstrated during the Iran-Iraq war, are more than happy to sacrifice themselves in order to protect not so much the regime but their nation.
The only ‘psy-ops’ being played out here is the one against the peoples of the West who they hope will fall for the same old garbage - exactly the same old garbage - as they laid out for us in the lead up to the war against Iraq and Saddam Hussein. The real tragedy is that we are falling for it even more so this time. Not only do many people fear the prospect of a nuclear armed Iran but they believe that the US won’t actually attack Iran because they believe it just such a monumentally stupid thing to do. Not for Bush and the neoconservatives it isn’t; they truly believe they can subdue Iran with a three to four day massive bombing campaign.
The world can't afford to just wait and see what happens.
When the nukes start falling, Damian, some folk still won't know what to make of it.
The sheeple are aptly named. Cheers.
Great piece Damian. I posted this piece on News From The West today. I also posted a couple of your prior post a few days ago that I thought were very interesting and agree 100% with.
I found your blog about a week ago and I just want to thank you for it along with your writing.
Check out my site if you want, I deal with some of the same issues.
